For each student at Center Academy, we gather comprehensive information regarding learning styles, experiences, and academic needs. When needed, we also administer further tests to determine the best teaching methods to work with an individual student. Our assessment process is designed to identify cognitive strengths and weaknesses in order to develop an individualized academic program for each student.

In addition, we administer a national norm-referenced test, the Stanford Achievement Test, at least once a year to measure student progress. These test results are used to refine the student's academic program and to provide feedback to parents. We have used a nationally norm-referenced test for over 20 years and continue to administer the test twice a year in some classes to better research student learning gains and the effectiveness of our programs.

We do not administer the FCAT at Center Academy. The FCAT is given in our charter schools, as it is in all charter schools in Florida.
