Job Description
 

• Facilitate the learning that occurs in the classroom through individualized programming and attention to individual needs

• Be the leader in the classroom, with the knowledge and ability to work with our diverse population

• Implement accommodations and modifications for each child as needed

Job Responsibilities

• Instructional leader tasked with individualized programming of each student, based upon their ability levels

• Responsible for all day-to-day programming, activities, grading and classroom management

• Participate in bi-weekly meetings, staff meetings and trainings

• Perform all daily/weekly/monthly paperwork required by Director

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades and student behavior

• Supervision of a teacher assistant
   

Job Qualifications

• B.S. in Education, or other related field

• Experience working with children who have learning disabilities and/or Attention Deficit Disorder

• Competency in instructional practices that accommodate children who have learning disabilities and/or Attention Deficit Disorder

• Familiar with effective classroom management strategies

• Strong organizational and communication skills
